HeartCode is the AHA’s PALS blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session. Upon successful completion, the provider will be issued a course completion card which is valid for two years.  The HeartCode certification issued is the same certification that is received during the classroom experience.

The PALS Course is for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a PALS Course Completion Card for job or other requirements.

Upon purchase, this course can be accessed at elearning.heart.org and completed at your own pace in the comfort of your own home. After completion, you will need to contact Salty Medic CPR to schedule your skills check to complete the class.
